Dedi Knox

Oil painting has been my passion over the past three years. I have attended three workshops and spent many devoted hours in the pursuit of this colorful medium. My subject matter has been mostly trees, landscapes and barns. Having pursued watercolor for most of my career, I find my drawing helps me with composing on canvas. Oil painting is an exciting challenge.

As an art collector, you know the enjoyment living with a beautiful painting can bring. Whatever memory or emotion a painting elicits makes it a joy to behold; and a well chosen work of art can give years of enjoyment. In my landscapes, I strive to capture an emotion or truth of a place. If I am true in my rendering, then my painting will achieve a universal truth. My art only begins a conversation with the viewer. Meaning comes from within the viewer's heart.
